1960s vintage rabbit fur coat
True 60s vintage coney (rabbit) real fur coat. This elegant, luxurious fur coat is perfect for keeping cozy throughout the colder months. Functional pockets, hook & eye closure, burgundy lining.
Size & measurements
No size in label but fits like approx size 10, but would also fit smaller sizes depending on desired fit.
Pit to pit: 20”
Shoulder to hem: 27”
Sleeve length: 23”
For reference, Sylvia is approx size 6-8.
Please use the measurements provided as vintage sizing can be inconsistent.
Condition & composition
Great pre-loved condition, there are a few small holes, one on the shoulder and one on the back of the arm (as photographed), they aren’t very noticeable as the fur buries them but could be mended, otherwise no noticeable imperfections.
Outer: 100% coney fur
Lining: not specified but synthetic.

Disclaimer
Love at First Sight Vintage have never, and will never support the production or manufacturing of new fur goods. The real fur we sell is vintage, and generally between 50 and 100 years old. Vintage fur is already in circulation, the environmental and ethical impact already occurred decades ago. Choosing vintage keeps existing garments in use rather than sending them to rot in landfill.
Modern “faux” fur is plastic, and sheds microplastics which take hundreds of years to break down. Vintage fur is a natural material that will biodegrade. Additionally, real fur is high quality and made to last, which means you can keep them forever and won’t need to replace, plus your cost per wear will be much lower!
With all of this taken into consideration, we believe extending the life-cycle of vintage fur and keeping it in circulation is the right thing to do, but fully understand that buying/ wearing fur is a personal choice.
